Our history The vision of TASCS was formulated on February 19, 2003 . The Board and Executive Officers were elected and met officially for the first time at the Annual Meeting of AAASC in March 2003. Various Committee Chairs were elected after review of other state's committee activity. |
Our History (continued) TASCS's Executive Committee contacted several other state organizations, supported by AAASC, and met throughout 2003 to establish Bylaws, membership dues structure and calendar of activities. Several TASCS's leaders met in Austin, Texas' capital, before the 2003 legislative session was completed to discuss relevant issues of the industry with key legislators.
TASCS filed official paperwork with Texas' Secretary of State in early 2004. TASCS is currently leading a grassroots call center effort to contact Texas ASCs which appeared to care for patients covered under Texas Workers' Compensation Commission (TWCC) in an attempt to raise funds to file an injunction against TWCC reimbursement cuts to ASCs. |
