Mission Statement

The Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society, the united voice of the Texas ASC industry, is a physician-led state association dedicated to advancing high-quality patient-centered care in ambulatory surgical facilities.

 

Our Objectives

  • Develop and promote high standards of patient care in ambulatory surgery;
  • Unify the voice of all ambulatory surgery providers;
  • Gather and disseminate information concerning legislation on the national and state levels which affects ambulatory surgery services, and take appropriate action;
  • Inform the public, governmental agencies and private businesses as to the services offered by ambulatory surgery providers;
  • Collaborate with local, state and national level organizations representing ambulatory surgery providers and other health-related organizations;
  • Initiate, sponsor, and promote educational programs for ambulatory surgery providers;
  • Promote ambulatory surgery as an integral component of the health care industry; and
  • Develop a network by which market and industry information can be shared to provide a safer, more cost-effective ambulatory surgery environment. Top of Page
  

Whom Do We Serve?

We serve the collective Texas ASC industry. TASCS's strategic five year vision will be to serve as the unified voice of the Texas ASC industry with membership representing a minimum of 75% of licensed Texas ASCs.

 

Role of Our Committee

From time to time, various committees will be created by Board action. Current Committee's include Educational Programming, Membership, Reimbursement and Legislative Affairs. Each committee shall have a Committee Chair nominated and elected by the Board. The committees will serve to carry out the Mission of the organization.
